Late Breaking News on the 2008 Presidential Campaigns of Barack Obama and John McCain: Small Obama Oval

  • July 17 - MSNBC's Domenico Montanaro makes an intersting point about Joe Biden's primary citicism of Obama is becoming an interesting campaign topic... I wonder if this history will come back to haunt his presidential bid?

  • July 17 - From this article, it does look like criticism of Michelle Obama is going to be an ongoing source of frustration for Barack, so he's going to have to get thicker skin about it I guess.

  • July 16 - The New Yorker Magazine did an interesting lampoon of the Obamas - and with a predominantly democratic authorship and readership, one wonders what advantage there was to gain from this magazine cover!

  • June - The democratic race is OVER, FINALLY!  Hillary has endorsed her rival and suspended her campaign.

  • The press has now moved to focus on Barack's running mate.  Obama needs help to pick up demographic weaknesses he showed during the primary season.  Jim Webb of Virginia is an early frontrunner given his military background and strong support in a swing state that is a gateway to the South.  Hillary and Obama would create the so-called "Dream Ticket", but many have rightfully pointed out that this combination has a great deal of downside, and not that much upside, politically.  Other Virginians are possible as well... Mark Warner and Governor Tim Kaine would both be a strong addition to the ticket of such a national political newcomer as Barack Obama.  It will be interesting come this fall!
